Southport Community Center Officially Shutdown
After a year and a half of shows put on by Lonely Poseur the Southport Community Center has officially been shutdown for shows. The lady Jason with LP had been working with passed away a few weeks ago and the new person in charge made it very clear that they do not want music there. Cops were waiting for us to plug our instruments in last sunday so we ended playing a bad ass show with KG Beast in Jason's living room (pics from the show are available here).
Another Show Shut Down By Cops
The final show at The Corner Gallery got shutdown while we were in the middle of our set. Live music downtown 9:00 on a friday night...no wonder everyone complains about this town not having any culture. The cop was a complete ass hole too. When Eric (the owner of the gallery) told the cop it was an art gallery the cop replied "well why is their music playing". When eric replyed to him that music was in fact art, the cop shoved him against the wall and told him to "quit being a smart-ass or I'll take you to jail". God I love living in a free country!. There is a video floating around of the incident and i'll try to get more information on the officer that did this and post it on the website.
